The West Kingston Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to fostering an enriching environment for all students and families.

Our primary focus is fundraising to bring exciting assemblies—such as bands, storytellers, magicians, BMX performers, and nature presentations—directly to our students. We also fund field trips for each grade and host community-building events, like school dances and seasonal family nights, at little or no cost to families. Our major fundraising event, the Hawk A Thon, is complemented by additional opportunities to contribute, including the Book Fair and dine-out nights at local restaurants.

In addition to fundraising, the PTO organizes after-school enrichment programs, facilitates the sale of Spirit Wear (Go Hawks!), and hosts Popsicles on the Playground each August. We also support various school activities and events, providing both manpower and financial assistance for initiatives like Night of the Arts, High Five Friday, Field Day, and the Grade 5 promotion.

We keep busy! As a family member of a West Kingston Elementary School student, you are automatically a member of the PTO. We meet at 6:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month in the school library, and we would love for you to join us. Keep an eye out for news about volunteer opportunities and upcoming events. We encourage you to participate in any way you can throughout the school year.
